  • Interview: Josh Cohen about Google News and right

    Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Let me introduce you to Josh Cohen, real chief (product manager officially) of Google News. I asked him during his last visit in Prague for some details about Google News and rights (authors copyright, fairuse, text under licence) and of course monetization of this interesting but a bit controversial service.

  • My most recent thoughts

    • Most things in this world don´t work, but aspirin do. (Kurt Vonnegut, Mother Night)
    • The true war is celebration of markets. (Thomas Pynchon, Gravity's Rainbow)
    • The Firm was allowing Pirate only tiny homeopathic doses of peace, just enough to keep his defenses up, but not enough for it to poison him. (Pynchon)
    • You must ask two questions. First, what is the real nature of synthesis? And then: what is the real nature of control? (Thomas Pynchon)
    • "Everyone's equal. Same chance of getting hit. Equal in the eyes of the rocket. (Thomas Pynchon, Gravity's Rainbow)
  • „Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?“ „That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,“ said the Cat. „I don't much care,“ said Alice. „Then it doesn't matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

(Lewis Carroll: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland)
